Since we follow Suffolk Public Schools closings due to weather we will be closed on Friday, September 6, 2019. We are anticipating a normal school day on Monday, September 9, 2019.
Due to the unpredictable timing of the approaching storm we will be closing at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 5, 2019. We will be feeding the children lunch, but will not put them down for nap time. Decisions have not been made for Friday, September 6, 2019.
Just a reminder that we are closed on Monday, September 2, 2019 for Labor Day. Enjoy your long weekend!
This summer our school has been collecting supplies needed for God’s Street Ministry. Ms. Nancy from God’s Street Ministry came by to pick up the supplies and to explain to our children how she uses the supplies we brought in to go out and share God with all of the homeless people in our community.
With our children collecting items such as: band aids, tooth brushes, toothpaste, oatmeal cups, hygiene products, fruit bars, etc it helps God’s Street Ministry to put the homeless bags together. We may not be able to hit the streets like Ms. Nancy to share God’s love but we can equip them to do it. I really believe in teaching children young to give back to our community so that they grow up really living for God.
Don’t miss out on the chance to come by and check out our curriculum and meet your child’s teacher for fall. Our school takes care of children from infants – 3rd grade. Open house is from 4:00-6:00 pm. We love the Abeka curriculum!
Please join us for our fall open house on Thursday, August 15th from 4:00-6:00 pm You will have a chance to meet with your child’s fall teacher and check out the Abeka curriculum. We will have refreshments and a balloonist here to entertain the children.
This is for our preschool class – 3rd grade. Invite a friend and ask us about our referral program.
Our schoolagers really enjoyed making milk shakes last week.
We had to wait for the “hair” to grow in to show you what the preschool children did last week. Now they can practice cutting and watch their “hair” keep growing.
Our school age children were very busy last week when Brickheadz came to visit.
This summer our mission project is collecting items for the homeless. We are partnering with a couple that passes bags out to homeless people around the area, and share God with them. We want to teach our students to help those who need it most. The children will not be passing out the bags. We are just collecting items to help with the ministry.
Most items that they use are from the $1 store. If you can help us by bringing in some of the following items:
Box of oatmeal
Cup of soup – chicken or beef
Bottled water or juice
Tooth brush and tooth paste
